Sunflower fields in Isfahan have created a spectacular golden landscape across the region’s farmlands as the flowers bloom.

Sunflower cultivation is an important part of Iran’s agricultural sector, contributing to domestic production of sunflower seeds, a popular snack among Iranians. Iran produced approximately 66,000 tons of sunflower seeds in 2024, according to FAO data.
